Privacy Policy

Seekhlo is a gamified learning platform for school students, operated by Cyphronix Software Pvt. Ltd. (CIN: U62013MP2025PTC075797), a private limited company with its registered office in Madhya Pradesh, India (“Seekhlo”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Seekhlo mobile app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

• Account basics — your email address (used to sign you in with one-time codes) and a display name you choose.
• Learning activity — courses you enrol in, lessons and missions you complete, quiz answers, XP, streaks, and league standings.
• Preferences — explanation language (English or Hindi) and whether you appear on leaderboards.
• Community content — the communities you join and any posts or reports you submit there.
• AI explanations — when you ask for an explanation, the lesson context and your request are sent to our AI provider so it can generate the answer.
• Voice recordings — spoken-practice missions ask you to answer out loud. With your permission, the app records your answer and uploads it so it can be assessed against the lesson goal. Recordings are stored privately, you can replay them in Speaking History for 3 days, and they are then automatically deleted. The transcript and feedback are kept as part of your learning history.
• Contacts (only if you use Find Friends) — if you choose to find friends already on Seekhlo, contact email addresses and phone numbers are turned into irreversible hashes on your device, and only the hashes are sent to check for matches. Your contact list itself never leaves your phone and is never stored or shared.
• Analytics & crash reports — we use PostHog to understand how the app is used (screens visited, features used) and to capture crash reports, linked to your account email. This is first-party product analytics, not advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Basic technical data — app version, browser or device type, and standard server logs (such as IP address and timestamps), kept for security and to fix problems.

What we don’t collect: no passwords, no precise location, and no photos. We don’t run ads, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell personal information.

Seekhlo is built for school students, so much of our audience is under 18. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we treat anyone under 18 as a child:

• A parent or guardian must consent to a child creating an account, and sign-in codes are sent to the family’s email address.
• We don’t show advertising, and we don’t use children’s data for tracking or targeted advertising.
• Parents and guardians can ask us to review, correct, or erase their child’s account by emailing us from the signup address.

• Create and secure your account, and save your progress across devices.
• Run the learning experience: XP, streaks, leagues, communities, and explanations.
• Assess your spoken answers against lesson goals and give you feedback.
• Respond to support requests and investigate reports to keep communities safe.
• Improve Seekhlo using aggregated, non-identifying statistics.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We process personal data based on your consent (given when you create an account) and our legitimate need to operate and secure the service. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

We share personal information only with the providers that keep Seekhlo running:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Cloud hosting providers — our application servers.
• AI model providers (OpenAI-compatible services, such as Sarvam AI or OpenAI) — to generate explanations. We send lesson content and your request, not your profile.
• PostHog — product analytics and crash reporting.

These providers process data on our instructions under contract. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Seekhlo, its users, or the public. If our company is ever merged or acquired, user information may be transferred as part of that deal, under this policy.

Our providers may store and process data in India or abroad (for example, in the EU or the US). We choose providers that apply appropriate safeguards for data transferred out of India.

Spoken-practice recordings are deleted automatically 3 days after they are made; their transcripts and feedback remain in your learning history. We keep the rest of your personal information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase your personal data as described on our Delete your account page (backup copies are purged within about 30 days). Anonymous, aggregated statistics may be retained after deletion.

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), accounts are protected by one-time email codes instead of passwords, and access to personal data is limited to people who need it to run Seekhlo. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects you, we’ll notify you as the law requires.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct, complete, or update it.
• Ask us to erase it (delete your account).
• Raise a grievance and have it resolved.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot.

To exercise any right, email us from your account’s email address. We acknowledge complaints within 72 hours and work to resolve them within 30 days.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, show a notice in the app. Continuing to use Seekhlo after a change means you accept the updated policy.
